Environmental Awareness

BCCL has taken steps to sensitize all stakeholders for developing a better environment .

MOEFCC appreciated initiatives of BCCL and agreed to partner in technical collaboration for organising a conference jointly with BCCL, to showcase BCCL achievement in environment management to benefit of whole industry. As a follow up,  Conference on “Environmental Management in Coal Mining – Sustainable Way Forward “ was organized at New Delhi on 21-22 March 2015 by BCCL in association with MOEFCC. The initiatives of BCCL were widely acclaimed and the conference served as platform for sharing best environmental practices.

The conference at the end of the deliberations made several recommendations which includes “BCCL should sensitize all other subsidiaries, other mining companies about the good work of the sustaining mining and environment”.
